Please note – each one is different and quirky,Amber is a natural thing, not perfectly smooth or uniform or clear. Please note it is not in the nature of amber to be perfect They include lines and spots, specks, dimples, colouration and inclusions, included as the resin flowed from the tree 40 million years ago.
These quirks are to be appreciated as natural phenomena, not seen as faults.
These gems have been heat treated to increase the clarity and make less brittle and likely to break. We also stock a selection of raw, untreated gems. Amber is unlike crystals and stones - it is lightweight, quirky and warm to touch. It will be unlike a polished crystal gemstone. Please factor this into you selection.
