Amber is the fossilized resin of trees. 40 million years ago, these trees produced copious amounts of resin. The resin aged and hardened to become a fossil, the semi prescious gem we know as amber today.

This is amber from shores of the the Baltic Sea in Europe. Baltic Amber is the only type of amber you should use for healing. It contains a higher percentage (8%) of succinite, its healing element, than amber from any other area. We stock ONLY Baltic Amber, handpicked from reputable amber artisans with exceptional experience and knowledge.

Amber has natural pain relieving and anti-inflammatory properties. It is particularly well known to help with pain of bones and joints. But its positive benefit does not end there. Our customers have reported that amber has helped for many chronic conditions including skin conditions, migraine, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, repetitive strain injuries. Amber can also help ease stress and promotes more restful sleep.

It should be worn against the skin. The warmth of the skin against the amber will allow the body to benefit from the healing element in amber - succinite. Best results will be had if it is worn 24/7.

Customers have reported back to us that amber has been helpful in easing the suffering of many complaints such as headaches, rheumatism, insomnia, thyroid problems, throat problems, ear problems, joint inflammation, stress, carpal tunnel, sleep issues, recurring mouth ulcers, repetitive strain injuries, damage from injuries to bones, joints and muscular damage. We caution that amber will not 'cure' a problem. It simply relieves the symptoms. We also caution that it might not help every problem! Please note that we are not medical professionals and medical advice should always be obtained.

No color amber is better than another, in our long experience. It is all amber and will work in the same way regardless of colour. The key is that you leave it against the skin all the time. Traditionally, they were put together in a mix of colours so maybe there is some benefit to this ancient wisdom.

Some people find they notice an improvement by the next day. But it can take longer for others. Just like taking a food supplement, you will not feel an immediate effect. We ask adults to commit to wearing it for 3 to 4 weeks.
-
The amber itself is good for roughly 2 years, depending on how it is cared for. It can become brittle and faded over time, especially if exposed to soaps and creams, perfumes, chlorine or heat. Please check your amber occasionally for signs of wear and replace if you feel the amber is 'spent'. It will take on a white clouded hue.

From our experience, a very small number of people, maybe 1 in 500, may develop a localized rash which will clear on the removal of amber. This may have a connection to colophony, a resin sensitivity. Once the amber is removed, the rash subsides and no ill effects are subsequently reported.
Some people who are highly sensitive to the world around them can feel a sense of dizziness when wearing amber at first. In this case it may need to be avoided. Or introduced slowly for short periods of time.
