Adult Anklet Size

Our Anklets for Adults are made to order, using flat bean shape beads that will rest flat against the skin.  They have a discrete screw clasp.  

To get a comfortable fit, it is best to measure the ankle.  Like shoe sizes, there are lots of variations!  

How to measure

Use a flat tape and place around the ankle, just above the ankle bone where you imagine the anklet will sit.  You need to order a little more than a flat measurement, about 1 cm to 1.5 cm, to allow for the beads and a bit of movement.  You need to be able to put a little finger into the gap.  

For example: If you get a measurement of 21 cm cm snug, you'd need to order a 22 cm anklet.  

To see what these lengths will look like and fit the wearer, you could use a  necklace with small beads and measure against the wearer and on a ruler.  

If you don't have a tape, use a ribbon and ruler.  

We are a little generous with our fits.  A 22 cm anklet will measure on a ruler, not pulled taught, at 22 cm to 22.5 cm.

The notes below are a general guide only.  Please measure. 

20cm   The slimmest - a petite ladies ankle

21cm  Getting a little bigger - small size 6 to 8 average

22cm  Getting bigger again

23cm  Average/standard ankle on lady, small gent

24cm  Stronger ankle

25cm  Large build

26cm  Good size for a larger ankle

27cm  Gents ankle

28cm May be good for an ankle prone to swelling.  

We can make other lengths if required.  Please order the closest size available and leave a not in the comments box telling us what size you think you need.
